This Garlic Butter Pasta is a simple, comforting classic made with pantry staples. Silky butter, fragrant garlic, and salty Parmesan coat tender spaghetti for an easy side dish or quick main that comes together in minutes.

Ingredients:

• Spaghetti noodles

• 3–4 garlic cloves, minced

• ½ cup butter

• ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

• 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

• Salt and black pepper, to taste

Tools from the Kitchen

• Large pot for boiling pasta

• Small saucepan

• Measuring cups and spoons

• Garlic mincer

• Strainer

Prepare:

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt and a small drop of olive oil.

2. Cook spaghetti according to package directions, about 9–10 minutes, until al dente.

3. While the pasta cooks, melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat.

4. Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning. Stir gently until fragrant, about 1 minute—do not brown.

5. Drain pasta and return it to the pot.

6. Pour the garlic butter over the pasta and toss to coat.

7. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

8. Toss well and serve warm.

Notes from the Kitchen

• This pasta is perfect on its own but shines with add-ins like grilled chicken, shrimp, broccoli, or peas.

• For extra richness, reserve ¼ cup of pasta water and add a splash if the sauce needs loosening.

• Fresh parsley or a pinch of red pepper flakes makes a great finishing touch.

Storage & Reheating

• Refrigerate: Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

• Reheat: Warm gently on the stovetop or microwave with a small pat of butter to refresh the sauce.
